SLAV Connects is a blog by the School Libraries Association of Victoria (SLAV), formerly named Bright Ideas when a collaboration between SLAV and the State Library of Victoria (SLV). Its aim is to share news from the Association and to encourage teacher librarians, librarians, school library staff, educators and all interested persons to actively engage with the school libraries, to share tools and experiences; to network on a global scale; and to embrace dynamic teaching and learning opportunities.

Presentation for the SLAV Shared Learning Conference on 19 April 2010.
Hi there
Just wondering what has happened to this site. The amazing list of resources and school blogs you had running down the right hand panel has disappeared. A huge chunk of incredibly useful information for me, a teacher librarian, has evaporated. Where has it gone?
What is going on guys/
Fran
Hi Fran,
The list of resources is still there, it is just hidden. Click on the category that you are interested in, and all the posts relating to that will be there. The page was getting rather long with all the posts per category, so I thought this might be a better option.
Thanks,
Rachel.
I am really disappointed to see that the blog has been so drastically changed.I agree with Fran. Now very difficult to find what was there before and I feel that I have lost what was once such an excellent professional learning resource.
Hi Marianne,
I am sorry you do not like the new look of the blog. I hope that the content of the blog is still providing resources that you can use. I feel that the wider margins provide more room for the content and the widgets. Once again, I am sorry to disappoint.
Thankyou for your honesty,
Rachel.
