Hello Readers
We had a super discussion at our last online bookclub and have generated a list of ideas and books on the theme Reads for non-readers.
You will notice we have moved the location of this resource, this blog (slavconnects) is being decommissioned by the Dept of Education. This will be our last post here. We were planning on moving the lists as we want all SLAV resources to be easily found on the one website as much as possible.
Our next bookclub theme is fiction books set in Victoria’s capital, Melbourne.
We also started a discussion last meeting about challenging books in libraries and what do do when students request them. Books bordering on topics which are adult and often recommended via Booktok. So we will devote some time to a discussion about this, sharing points of view and approaches.
Next term we also have the author, Ingrid Laguna joining us for a short ten minute presentation, another bonus.
Finally, a big thank you to Helen Farch, who documented this list for us to share.
